Safety guidance

Using the directory safely

Protect private information, agree on practical details directly and leave any situation that feels wrong.

Account access

Provider and customer accounts are issued through administrator-managed onboarding; there is no public self-registration. Keep issued credentials private, use only your own account and report unexpected access. Changing a member password signs out every current member session. Account access does not replace your own safety checks or prove that an appointment occurred.

Before making contact

  • Read the complete profile, including indicative fees, availability and boundaries.
  • Use only the contact method shown for a concise, respectful introduction.
  • Do not send identity documents, banking credentials or intimate material.
  • Look for inconsistencies and stop if someone pressures you to act quickly.

Confirm the arrangement

Agree directly on time, general setting, duration, fees and cancellation expectations. Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn by either adult at any time. A directory enquiry is never a confirmed appointment.

Protect location and identity

Public location labels are approximate. Exchange exact details only after mutual agreement. A touring date is not a real-time location, identity check or booking confirmation. A community notice is an edited submission, not identity or safety verification. Organization and room inclusion is not endorsement; independently verify external booking links and payment recipients. Consider telling a trusted person when and where you expect to be, and arrange a check-in plan that does not expose someone else's private information.

Payments

girlsbook does not collect appointment payments. Treat unusual deposits, gift cards, cryptocurrency demands and requests for account credentials as warning signs. Confirm who will receive any payment and understand the cancellation terms first.

If something feels wrong

End the conversation or leave. In an emergency in New Zealand, call 111. For a directory identity, content, safety or privacy concern, use the report option on the relevant profile. A report is not an emergency service.

For independent providers

  • Keep professional and personal contact channels separate where practical.
  • Screen enquiries consistently and decline anything unclear or unsafe.
  • Never publish a precise address or real-time location.
  • Keep your own check-in and emergency process.
  • Report threats, impersonation or content theft promptly.
